2006 Puzzle Challenge

There's a Moose on the Loose!

The Pegamoose is on the loose... again! Where can it be? What is it doing?

Before departing, the Pegamoose left behind clues to its whereabouts disguised in 24 puzzles within the pages of this document. The solution to each puzzle provides a piece to the bigger solution of what the Pegamoose is up to.

The 2006 Puzzle Challenge is free download and free to distribute. Save it. Print it. Share it with your friends.

If you enjoy the puzzles in this challenge and would like to see more puzzles like these, please contribute to the cause. Use the "Add to Cart" button to tip the creator for his efforts.

Note: If you downloaded the 2006 Puzzle Challenge on or before August 12, there have been a few corrections and changes as a result of the feedback from early testers.

2006 Puzzle Challenge

This puzzle challenge is inspired by and designed after the puzzle races like The Game at Stanford, Just Passing Through's Jackpot Game, or NBC's Treasure Hunter. In those type of puzzle races, players receive a clue which must be decoded in order to find the next location and the next clue.

The beauty of our puzzle challenge is: (a) you aren't required to leave the comfort of your own home, (b) you do not need to work on the puzzles in any particular order, and (c) there aren't any huge entry fees or travel expenses. In fact, the game is free!

Why should Pegamoose Games create and distribute a free game? There are a couple of motivations behind distributing the puzzle challenge for free. The first reason is to play the role of a fundraiser. We added the "Tip Jar" to the page in hopes of raising some extra money for Pegamoose Games. We have some great games in the works, like 'Zards, but need to raise more money to help produce them. Plus, we would also like to attend some of the gaming trade shows and improve marketing.

The second reason is to increase awareness of Pegamoose Games. The theme of the missing Pegamoose integrates our company's logo with a fun and creative challenge. We want people to associate Pegamoose Games with good times and fun with family and friends.

And the last reason, because people go nuts for this kind of stuff. We look around and we see people with thirsty brains. Great shows like Treasure Hunters (NBC) and Lost (ABC) pull viewers into their websites with interactive games and puzzles. People are going Sudoku-crazy. There are movies about spelling bees and crossword puzzles. Pegamoose Games wants to be a lemonade stand to help satisfy your brain's thirst.

Is our lemonade made with real lemons? We hope not. But, we will let our customers decide. Whether you love or loathe our puzzles, use the "Contact" page to drop us a line and tell us what you think. Or, if you enjoy the puzzles and would like to see more like them, drop some silver Washingtons into the tip jar. Twenty-five cents for 24 puzzles? What a bargain! You can't even buy bubble gum for a price like that without buying in bulk.

What are you waiting for? Get out there and find that Pegamoose!
